Tuesday we traveled from Durango Colorado through the old mining towns of Silverton and Ouray. The road traversed through the mountains and had breathtaking scenery and SNOW on both sides of the road! A portion of the road is known as the Million Dollar Highway and was originally built to service the mines in the area. Some of the mountain passes were at 11,000 feet and the road was full of switchbacks and steep dropoffs . Guard rails, what’s that?
