Drive to Virginia was pleasant and uneventful. We left NY as spring was beginning
to arrive and we ended up in Lynchburg with spring in full swing. Flowers in bloom
everywhere and daytime temperatures in the 70’s. We took an unofficial tour of Thomas
Jefferson’s Poplar forest (his summer home) and viewed the state of the restoration project. It is quite impressive . It has been 200 years since he was personally walking
The grounds. This was the first 500 mile leg of the trip and tonight we will be in Nashville!!!
