The time has come

Home beckons and we turn East to begin the journey home. We passed through Vail Colorado and enjoyed the view of the snow covered mountains.  The Colorado River was a raging torrent full of rapids which the kayakers were thoroughly enjoying.  We clicked our heels twice and ended up in Kansas.  The journey across the plains states was uneventful except for our brief encounter with cicadas.  Man, those bugs make a tremendous amount of noise!  Our last camping outing was outside Columbus Ohio where we spent a lovely, relaxing time visiting with family and enjoying the lake.

The two obvious differences between the East and West is that the sky is a much more brilliant blue out west and the humidity in the East makes the heat of summer more objectionable.  We saw many great sights on our journey and met wonderful people from all over the world.  Now we are back to reality and need to deal with all the mundane tasks of everyday life.
